Medical 3D Printing
What is medical 3D printing?
Medical 3D printing is the process of converting medical imaging data — such as CT scans, MRI scans, or 4D ultrasounds — into physical, tangible 3D-printed models. These models accurately reproduce anatomical structures like skulls, bones, brains, and organs.
How does the process work?
- You send us your scan files (DICOM, NIfTI, or ultrasound data)
- We assess the scan quality, confirm feasibility, and provide a quote
- We segment the scan data, generate a 3D model, and print it
- You collect locally or we ship it to you anywhere in South Africa
What are these models used for?
- Education — Teaching aids for medical students and professionals
- Display — Unique anatomical display pieces for clinics, offices, or personal collections
- Keepsakes — Fetal keepsakes from 4D ultrasound scans, pet memorials from veterinary scans
- Gifts — Thoughtful gifts for medical professionals, graduates, or anatomy enthusiasts
How much do medical 3D prints cost?
Prices start from R400 for fetal keepsakes and R500 for skull and bone models. Visit our Medical 3D Printing page for full pricing, or request a free quote.
